At Functional Living Solutions, we guarantee they are. We only make recommendations that work for you and your loved ones. HOME AND SAFETY ASSESSMENT
A HOME AND SAFETY ASSESSMENT is a client-centered evaluation that looks closely at the individual in their own environment. We look at cognition, physical ability, and other factors to determine the individual’s current- and future- safety situation. Why is this important? Because we don’t want you having to go through more home renovations as time passes. Our background in the medical field as an occupational therapist gives us an edge up on thinking about the future. We think about your future so you can stay in the present!
FLOOR PLAN DESIGN
Have you ever looked at a floor plan and had little to no understanding of what you are looking at? Looking at a floor plan can be overwhelming with all the lines and boxes. It’s difficult to translate a 2D plan into your world. Here’s where I come in. I look at your floor plan design and make recommendations based on client factors. Some may include: light placement, outlet location, grab bar installations, safe stairs/ramp, countertop height, knob and pull design, door height/width, hinge type.. just to name a few.
